About Me

Hi!  My name is Christina and welcome to my blog!  Born and raised in the military, 10868142_945348555475199_9146105213584097650_noriginally from Spokane, WA, I now reside in the panhandle of Florida, where our beaches are as white as snow and the water looks like you’re in the Carribean.  I am a mom of 2 beautiful children, Skylar & Blake.  My husband, Shane, and I have been together since 2004.  We have a farm which includes: a yorkie 1959650_899355006741221_2777726597383618081_nmixed with, we’re not sure what, but our kids’ say kangaroo because he’ll jump in your arms, a cat, a bunny and 2 fish.
I do work but only part time so that I can be here for my kids before & after school since my husband’s job is independently run.  My goal in life is to become an Ultrasound Technician but my kids are more important so until they’re old enough, I have found other things to keep me busy or become obsessed with.
I also love to play softball – not competitively,10006195_890889904254398_4743170791549558718_n I love college football – GO NOLES!, I enjoy riding ATV’s, I love to dance – no white girl booty here, I enjoying spending time with my friends, I love wine – Moscato preferably and I love my family!  Now that you’ve gotten to know a little bit about who I am, I hope you’ll enjoy my blog!

  1. Hi Christina,

Just wanted to let you know that I’ve just set up a site sort of like NetGalley
where you can review free books online. It’s here to help self-published authors
get a little more attention than they’re getting, but I hope it’ll do nice things for you too. Let’s see:
    – you can post your website in your profile so you can get some backlink love from Google
    – I’ll help tweet your reviews
    – you can make some coffee money by adding your Amazon Associates ID to the book reviews and get commissions
on any purchases made through your reviews
    – …and it’s a new place to make a name for youself. Plus, I can imagine there’s a slight prestige in reviewing obscure books.
Good reviewers will be loved on this site and if you’re into being loved, come check it out. If there are other benefits, things you,
as a book blogger, are looking for, please let me know and I’ll see if I can build it into the site.
Many thanks for taking the time to read this. The site is http://www.paperbackreviewer.com and you can sign up with your Twitter or FB account.
Hope to see you on the site!

    Best regards,

    John Khoury

  2. Hi Christina!
I’d like to submit info on an upcoming promo for my book (it will be free for a weekend). Can you send me your email so that I can send you the info?

    Thanks!
    Cherry

  3. Hi! I see that you live in the panhandle of Florida. I was just trying to reach out and request a review when I noticed this about you. The book for which I am seeking reviews is set mostly at Santa Rosa Beach on 30A. I am attaching a link to the book so you can assess whether or not you might be interested in reviewing it, but I will be glad to send you an arc of it.

  4. Christina, I couldn’t send a request to the email you gave above (said it wasn’t a legitimate email) so I’m posting my request here.

Go Noles! I’m a fan too. My sister and brother-in-law are both alumni though I went to UCF. Like you, I was born and raised in a military family. My brother is at Lewis/McChord. And obviously we both love romance novels.

I am an author seeking a review on my new novel We Shall Ne’er Be Younger. It is a contemporary, military, second chance romance. It is the first novel of the Silver Chronicles Series, a series that features heroes and heroines over 50 years old. This makes my novels unique in the genre.
I found your website through the Indie View site. I appreciate the fact that you are helping indie authors and self published authors be successful. Thank you for your consideration of my novel for review. The essential details of the novel appear below.

Title : We Shall Ne’er Be Younger Subtitle : The Silver Chronicles Book 1
    Author : Mary Ellen Woods
Genre : Romance Sub-genres : Contemporary, Military, Second Chance
Age restrictions – 18+ sexual assault trigger warning, some profanity (less than 100 words total)
Sexuality level – high heat but not erotica (few body part words, mostly euphemistic but not flowery analogies),
    Publication date : 11/10/2016
Length : approximately 90,000 words, or 200 – 250 pages in print or on an e reader depending on format

    Amazon Book Page – http://amzn.com/B01M2XIAHZ

If you decide to review my novel, please let me know your preferred format for the review copy. I have Mobi, epub, PDF and docx files available. I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you for your time.

    • Hi Mary Ellen!
Thank you for contacting my page and I do apologize about the e-mail, I’ve had a change in e-mails and I haven’t had a chance to change it everywhere. I will take a look at my calendar and see when I have space available. For any further assistance, you can reach me at: mygltyobsession@oulook.com.
      Have a great day!
      Christina
